About Natalie A. Witte, MD

Natalie A. Witte, MD is a Primary Care Sports Medicine physician board certified in both Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. She was born near St. Louis, Missouri where she graduated as valedictorian and scholar athlete from West County High School. She proceeded straight from high school into a combined BA/MD program at University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. She served as president of the Missouri Academy of Family Physicians, and was chosen as one of the three medical students in the U.S. to lobby in Washington D.C. for family medicine.


Following medical school, Dr. Witte completed three years of specialty training in Family Medicine at Barberton Citizen’s Hospital in Barberton, Ohio where she served as Chief Resident.
Following residency, Dr. Witte completed a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. During this year, she was involved in the medical care of athletes in all disciplines of sports at all levels of competition. She provided care for Mentor high school and Cleveland State University along with John Carroll University sports teams, the Cleveland Barons minor league hockey, the Cleveland Cavaliers , the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Browns. She published original research with “Effects of fatigue and gender on lower limb biomechanics during a jump-landing task: Implications for non-contact ACL injury” and article “Iron and the Athlete”. Dr. Witte continues to provide medical care to athletes of all ages.

Dr. Witte practiced both family and sports medicine in Phoenix, Arizona for 14 years. While there, she provided medical care to Notre Dame Preparatory High school and Arizona Christian University. She was very active with health care integration helping to create a pleuralistic model of private practice and employed physicians to deliver high quality health care in Arizona. She served on the board of Scottsdale Health Partners and Innovation Care Partners, along with Chairing the physician organization.

Dr. Witte enjoys full spectrum Sports Medicine, and she has a strong interest and specialized training in sports medicine, women’s health and childhood development. Treatment of sports medicine includes injury treatment (sprains, strains, fracture care, stress fracture and concussion) injury prevention, and maximizing athletic performance with nutritional optimization.

Dr. Witte and her husband Mat newly relocated to Atlanta in 2018. She enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends, and two awesome dogs, a labradoodle and a ridgeback. She enjoys many sports, whether participating, on the sidelines, or in the stands. She spends her free time running, cycling and training for various events throughout the year, and is very passionate about keeping patients active at all ages.
